If films fail to give the desired success, one always has the alternative of trying his or her luck out on the small screen. After all, the chota parda is no more a small entity.
Following the same is Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (MP3) fame actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who has absolutely no qualms in admitting that he has indeed proved to be a flop actor. He says, “None of my films including MP3 - Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai etc have worked”.
Buzz states that he will soon be seen in Trilogy Krikos’ telefilm for Star Plus. Talking about that, he said, “This film, made under the series of Teri Meri Love Stories, has been tentatively scheduled for a September airing. It also supposedly stars Aditi Sharma”.
Adding more, Ruslaan said, “It is set in a banking housing colony that has a mix of Gujarati and Maharashtrian community members who live in constant competition and rivalry. My character and that of my co-star’s character fall in love. How we try to make our respective parents accept each other forms the crux of this light hearted love story.”
When quizzed if this will completely call for his shift to TV, Ruslaan asserted, “No this project is only a one-off. I had time to do it and so did it. Anyway, I prefer cinema because the entire process of going through your script and working on your character, to the final promotion is very enjoyable. You lose all of that in TV, which is more of daily routine.”
We respect your choice Ruslaan and wish you good luck with your Bollywood career!
